About me

Hello! I’m Desiree, a passionate graphic designer with over 20 years of professional experience, complemented by 4 years of self-taught exploration in the field. My journey into design began early in life, thanks to my father’s telemarketing company, where I learned the art of crafting flyers and gained a foundational understanding of traditional marketing. Watching my father, an architect, create his own advertising materials sparked my love for design. His ability to master new skills and succeed as a business owner inspired me to pursue a similar path.

My formal career started at a local advertising agency, where I honed my skills as a junior designer. This role provided invaluable experience, allowing me to work on projects ranging from poster design to developing complex branding identities for major clients. I grew into a mid-level designer, deepening my expertise in the industry. I then transitioned to freelancing, which led to an exciting opportunity at Venezuela’s largest department store. Ironically, The creative director by then was my former university Teacher who later left and, I eventually became the creative director. This role allowed me to develop hundreds of brands across various sectors—apparel, household goods, furniture—and involved co-producing TV commercials, designing packaging, and leading a talented team. During this time, I specialized in digital marketing and witnessed the evolution of social media from its inception to its current form.

After several fulfilling years, I decided to pursue new challenges and began offering affordable marketing solutions to local businesses. My client base grew significantly, and I contemplated launching a formal agency. However, due to the worsening situation in my home country, I made the difficult decision to leave everything behind and move to the USA.

Now, I’m excited to embrace new opportunities, continue my growth, and help businesses communicate their unique stories through effective design.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like to collaborate or learn more about my work!
